the speedometer on my 1999 camaro is stuck!!

Can anyone give me some help please. My 99's speedometer is not moving at all and its stuck on 30. No matter how fast I go its always 30. and the mileage counter is stuck also. Can anyone tell me what is going on.

Since the speedometer is simply getting a signal from the PCM and is a volt meter, it will go to zero when the engine is off. If it is stuck at 30 you just need a new speedometer gauge.
